Hi New here
Thanks for inviting me,,I am on effexor xr now four 4 months and
doing pretty good so far.But every since I heard of this lexapro, I
have been wanting to fine out more about it.I was on wellbutrin for 3
weeks, and that one wasnt for me, and I did prozac and it didnt do
anything but make me zombie with a smile, so I have two down so far
for me.

Hi, Star - why are you thinking about switching if Effexor has worked
out well for you? It’s so hard for people to find an antidepressant
that suits them. If you have no big complaints, you should probably
stick with Effexor. Just my opinion.

new meds coming out on the market,,you never know,,you know?lol

Yeah, that’s a good idea to be informed. I’m now a big scholar on
Wellbutrin, Zoloft (sort of) and Celexa, and I know a bit about
Prozac from a friend of mine. I’m the personal antidepressant
consultant for my entire office.

—Gina I heard that girl,,,we got to know what to take and what we
dont want to take,,I have friends that hate paxil because of the
weight gain,,so I know I dont even want one in my mouth,,lol

I’m new here, I started taking Lex 9 months ago & I have gained over 30 pounds.
I didn’t feel odd / trippy I couldn’t stay awake & I slept all day so after a
few months my Dr. told me to take them right before bed. This worked for me.
I stayed on 10 mg. for 6 months & then 20 for a few months. I became breathless
& it really scared me so I went back to 10 mg to see if the higher dose was
causing it & it was.
I dropped from 20 to 10 with horrible insomnia. I thought there were no
withdrawal symptoms. I feel horrible from not sleeping & just want to be off of
them. My liver enzymes are high & I read this is also a possible side effect.
Has anyone else had their liver function checked ?

I was wondering if Lexapro causes liver problems? This med has not been tested
for long term use correct? Terry
