I Think My Med Is Kickin In… (Also Advice Needed Please)
Ok today is day 9 for me. Today was the first day that I did not
have any energy boost in fact I felt sluggish. I don’t do any
caffeine at all so I can rule that out. Its weird days 1-8 I had so
much energy I couldn’t sit still and today I had to fight to stay
awake.
You know I wasn’t put on this med for depression. I have mile
depression, but I have severe panic attacks and social phobia. So
far this med does good things for slowing my anticipatory anxiety,
but otherwise my anxiety is still there. I would love to go up to
10Mg (I’m on 5 right now) and my P doc wants me to get up to 10Mg and
is disappointed that I’m still only on 5.
Here is my problem this med gives me a lot of nausea. Even Previcid
and Nexium don’t work to well but Protonix works Ok not great but the
best of the three. When I tried Celexa 20Mg I couldn’t stop throwing
up.
I heard that 10Mg can help with my social anxiety/phobia, but I’m
scared to go up because the nausea is still there with 5Mg. Any
ideas? How is the nausea for evereone after 1-2 weeks+. Also is
this med helping anyone out there with anxiety at all? Whatever
advice is given is extremely appreciated.
I know we are all in this together, and all of us are exterely brave
people for taking this med right away. I am very happy that this med
is helping many people. I sincerely hope that everyone’s transition
is as smooth as can be.
Sincerely,
Anthony

Anthony, I have been on Lex for about four days now, and I also have
the “anticipatory” and general anxiety, OCD and depression. I seem
to be a lot less anxious and less of a ruminator and hand wringer
since I switched. When I started C and any time I increased the
dosage, my anxiety symptoms would really get bad. It has not been
the case with Lex, and I am very happy about that. I also seem to
have fewer OCD symptoms. Celexa also made me lose my appetite which
in my case was helpful because I will constantly crave one specific
food as if I were pregnant! I have not been throwing up though -
are you on any other meds that might be interacting with the Lex?
Just my $0.02!
