Does clenching go away?

I’ve been on Lex for a little over a week now. I started on 10mg the first week,
& am now up to 15mg, & may go up to 20mg. The only side effect is some mild jaw
clenchig. I conciously avoid clenching while I’m awake, but suspect I clench in
my sleep. This is no big deal as of now & isn’t painful, my jaw just feels a
little stiff. I’m just wondering if this is likely to go away with time. I
haven’t been on Lex long enough to notice a significant change in my
depression/anxiety, but I’m very happy that I’m not experiencing any serious
sides as this is my first time on an AD.

I’ve been on lex almost 4 weeks, and my only side effect is jaw clenching too. It still hasnt gone away. i was on celexa for over a year, and had the same side effect the whole time I was on it. It did get a little better over time, but I still did it.

Thanks, so far it doesn’t seem to be a big deal & is the only side besides some
    delayed
ejac. which isn’t a problem either, just makes things more intense. Happy to
hear Lex is working great for you as well!

Hi Brandy, I can so relate to your jaw clenching! I have had the same
thing on Celexa. Today I had a 35 minute massage at my chiropractor,
and when she worked on my jaw, it was so tight. Even now I am aware
of it. I thought this could be from repressed anger, too. Do you
think this could be true for you, too?
I asked the massage therapist and she suggested going in my car and
expressing what I am feeling angry about. I waited till I was at home
in the privacy of my bedroom. I thought about it while she was
massaging my jaw area. Of an incident at my job, and also some other
feelings I was having about myself, comparing to other and wanting to
    fit in at the job….
hmmm…..does any of this relate with you, or is it simply the SSRI’s?
