Questions and A Little Bit About Me

I just switched to Lexapro yesterday. I was on 40 mg of Celexa. My
main motivation to switch were in hopes if better controlled my
anxiety, that it did not effect my libido as much (which keeps me
out of trouble probably…he he}, hopes that I won’t be so fatigued
and a recent outbreak of a very annoying skin rash which may or may
not have been a side effect of Celexa.
Most of the posts I have seen recently are from people like me who
have just switched. Is there anyone out there who has been on
Lexapro for awhile? Did you notice any differences? About how long
did it take? I also had anxiety attacks while on Celexa and I am
hoping that the Lexapro will be more effective in controlling my
anxiety.
I started out 3 years ago taking Zoloft then switched to Celexa. I
moved from my home and family 3 years ago to a major city in hopes
to stay employed. My life has been quite an emotional roller coaster
the last few years. I have survived domestic violence, a very ugly
divorce, cancer and the recent wave of layoffs. I am also a single
mom raising two beautiful daughters all by myself. I am most
grateful for Celexa in helping me to cope. I also believe you have
to constantly work on self improvement along with the meds.
Anyway a few questions and a little bit about me.
Healing hugs to all,
Rose

I have been on lex almost 3 months, for severe anxiety/panic attacks/depression. It has helped me totally overcome ALL my anxiety, and panic attacks, and works very well for depression as well. I have virtually no side effects, my sex drive has gotten sooo much better, and overall, I am much happier, and motivated than I was on celexa or any other ssri. All I have to say about lex are good things, as it has helped me in so many ways. I like it so much b/c it works fast. It only took about a week and a half to start working, I have no side effects, and it works great in my opinion for depression AND anxiety and panic attacks. Good luck to you, and keep us posted on how your doing.
