Dare I Say It!
Hi All,
I think I may actually be feeling some positive effects from this
medication (finally). I think the change to 5 mg I made three days
ago has started to make a difference for me.
Today at work, I cleaned my desk thoroughly. You have to understand
that I’m a project manager for a software consulting company and am
required to keep track of a lot of information. I’m generally messy
but know what is going on. I usually reach a point after a couple of
weeks where the desk needs to be clean. This was the first time I’ve
done this “cleanup” since December. I think today was the first day
I really realized what a mess I’ve been.
Also, I spent the evening updating a website my husband and I created
for my daughter’s gym (she’s a level 9 gymnast). I discovered that I
was way behind there as well.
My whole outlook was brighter today.
I hope this is the start of a positive change for me.
Best Wishes to All,
Patience (Jackie)

Hooray!! YES. Those are all GREAT signs that you’re doing better now. I
like your doctor’s approach, btw, but do understand how frustrating it is to
not be feeling good.

Hi Patience (Jackie),
Glad you’re feeling some better. I felt some positive effects on my
depression after taking Lexapro at least about four weeks, but my anxiety
was increasing. Then I went up to 10 mg and anxiety and PMS was MUCH
better. Dr. wanted me to increase to 20 mg, but that made me too sleepy,
so now I’m back down to 10 mg, half of the 20 mg pill and am feeling
good. Had bad PMS though this month, so I wonder if 15 mg isn’t my best
spot to stay. We’ll see…
