Hi all!
I’ve been on Lex 20mg and Trazadone 50mg for a bit now, and I’m
wondering if there are any over the counter meds I should avoid.
Allergy season is kicking in, and I am leery of taking an
antihistimine. When true misery sets in, I’ve sometimes used nyquil
to sleep. Do you think that amount of alcohol would be a problem?

I just wanted to ask you guys something….I’ve been taking Lexapro
for a couple of weeks now. Actually I’m not sure for how long but
it’s been awhile. Anyways it seems to be the best anti depressent
that I’ve been on. I’ve tried Lovan and that was crap and Zoloft.
Zoloft was good for awhile but it was bad if I wanted to have sex.
Anyways with Lexapro it seems to be good as in I don’t get so
restless but it doesn’t seem to work that well with my depression.
I’m on 20mg right now and that seems to be the highest dose that the
doc will let me on. Are there any other people that are on higher
and does everyone think that Lexapro is good? just wondering

Is beer a bad mix with Lexapro? I’ve gotten some mixed messages on
this issue. I’ve cut back but I still like a beer or two. Any

Hi, I may soon be starting lexapro and am looking for some positive
stories. Are there any? I have taken other SSRI’s in the past and
did not like the side effects. My doctor told me that so far,
lexapro seems to be a good one. I have gone through the message
boards here and at other sites and see more negative things posted
than positive. I have suffered with GAD and now perimenopause (yuck)
and I am hoping that lexapro might help me. My worst fear is weight
gain. Any input would be wonderful!

Have you noticed any menstrual irregularities when you start on Lex?
I’ve been waiting for mine for several days now, and am wondering.
Had tubal ligation several yeaars ago so unless the tubes can grow back
spontaneously, it’s not that. And I’m 38, too young for menopause. So the only
thing I can think of is the Lexapro.

I am on day 6 of Lexapro (10 mg). I am SOOOO tired. I’ve switched my dosage
to before bed. I’ve been reading some of the old posts. I read people
saying it took 1 week to 8 weeks for the sleepiness to disappear. I’ve also
read
people stopping the Lex because of sexual side effects, etc.
Is anyone happy with the results of Lex? I’m not sure how long I should try
it. I don’t have panic attacks (at least I don’t think I do) — just
depression. I was on Prozac for 6 months about 7 or 8 years ago. No meds
before that
or since — until now. Stopped the Prozac because I felt like a zombie –
always tired. Feel that way now on Lex.
I’ve been struggling with depression for many months now, and I guess I
expected a “miracle” with the meds. So far, the only change I’ve noticed is

discouraged.
