Weight Gain on Lexapro
I began 10mg of Lexapro in December. Since then I’ve gained 20
pounds, without changing eating habits or altering my exercise
routine. It was basically just 2-5 pounds per month, that just
slowly crept up on me. I’ve spoken with friends who have been on
other similar drugs and their only suggestions were to add Omega 3
supplements to my diet, keep exercising and limit carbohydrates but
don’t exclude them all together. So far I’ve stopped gaining since I
started this regime last month, but I’m afraid I won’t lose any of
this weight until I go off the Lexapro. I’ve not been hungrier on
Lexapro, but it sure removed a lot of the “food anxiety” I used to
have about eating certain things when I wasn’t even hungry!

I gained weight on it - but that’s because I got “happy” and started
eating more - even when not hungry lol…have to invest in some duct
tape so I don’t get depressed over weight gain. Seriously, am going to
pay more attention to what and when I eat - I’ve already lost what I
gained, so I know it’s possible…13lbs -
good luck
