getting off 10mg lexapro

Hi all.. I’m new here…
I started to wean myself off of 10mg…I’ve started to take half..but
I’m scared to go throguh the withdrawls.. I’ve been taking 10mgs for
about 2 1/2 yrs now.
I know about the brain “shocks”… I’ve gone though a few times that I
missed a doage because of problems at the pharamacy… and this is what
scares me……
I haven’t gone back to read through the lists posts… but I wanted to
see if anyone has gotten off of it successfuly….?
I had a question about pregnancy and lexapro… although I’m not
pregnant..I want to be sometime in the future.. how bad you think the
affects are on getting pregnant. I’m 22 right now.
Thanks for any input..
have a great day everyone!

I love Lexapro. I upped my lexapro 5mgs after a while cause it wasn’t
enough. Now Im at 10 mgs been here for about 6-7 months I’d say and Im great.
    I
have had some weight gain which Im not sure if its the lex or not, but im
    planning on staying on it.
How do you all loose the weight you’ve put on , possibly with the lex?

I would like to pipe in as a new member and new user of Lexapro. I’ve been on
it for 1 week as of today. I love the emotional improvements, hate the physical
side effects, but I’m willing to ride it out to see if I can adjust. I am a
little scared by the negatives, and would love to hear any encouraging stories
    out there.
    Thanks!

    I’m only taking 2.5 mg (I’m cutting 10 mg tablets into 1/4). I’m highly
sensitive to meds, so that’s where I’m starting. My side effects are fatigue,
stomach upset, insomnia (tired during the day, but can’t sleep at night ), and
    frequent urination.
P.S. I was on Effexor a few years ago and felt just awful even after a couple
of weeks so I had to stop it.
