MSeidenfeld…

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

You have some nerve coming on this message board and trying to scare
people, who you know are already extremely “sensitive” to outside
stimulii and suggestions! I don’t know you from Adam and neither does
anyone else…take your nonsense elsewhere - my feeling is you are into
Scientology or have a grudge with the drug companies that are
manufacturing SSSRIs…they’ve been out long enough for people to know
what they’re getting into. We don’t need your “help.” What are your
credentials…never mind, I don’t care - get lost, you are of no
positive use here.
Where are the monitors of this board, or are there any?
This board is for personal experiences not for unsolicited advertisers
or fearmongers. Opinions that are not necessarily facts for everyone
can be helpful, you are not - in any way helpful nor do you intend to
be!
You are not welcome here - I speak for myself and I suspect others.
Good Luck - you’ll need it…

IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM DRUG SIDE-EFFECTS…

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

There are numerous problems with the warning information provided by
the makers of Lexapro and other SSRI drugs. This information is
intentionally misleading, inaccurate and insufficient compared with
the actual risks and occurrences of increased thoughts of suicide,
suicide attempts, self-harm, violence, hallucinations, addiction and
eating disorders.
Seidenfeld Associates is currently seeking individuals who believe
they may have suffered from increased risks and occurrences of these
or other adverse effects due to the use of Lexapro and other SSRI
drugs.
Our goal is to gather individual case histories to establish possible
lawsuits that will:
(1) Expose the practice of providing deceptive and misleading
warning information by the makers of Lexapro and other SSRI drugs.
(2) Force the makers of Lexapro and other SSRI drugs to change
its current practice of providing information that is intentionally
misleading and harmful to users of these products.
(3) Recover substantial monetary damages on behalf of those
individuals who have suffered adverse effects due to the use of
Lexapro and other SSRI drugs because of insufficient or misleading
information supplied by the manufacturers.
If you have taken Lexapro and other SSRI drugs and believe you may
have suffered from increased risks and occurrences of thoughts of
suicide, suicide attempts, self-harm, violence or other adverse
effects, contact us about joining as a plaintiff with no cost to
you. We are dedicated to keeping you informed and helping you to
collect damages if you have been injured by misleading and
insufficient information.

Side Effects/Pounding (Luann)

Monday, October 30th, 2006

Am sorry I confused you re: anxiety attacks being a side effect…what
I meant was, some people do experience anxiety or “more” anxiety as a
side effect when taking lexapro (read insert - ask doc). I didn’t have
that as a side effect as that’s what I was also taking Lexapro for and
it worked great for me as well as for depression and panic. It also
took a good 2 months, at least, to see all the results that this
medication ultimately gave me. I take it in the a.m. and take sleeping
meds to sleep at night. Dalmane doesn’t give me a “hangover” in the
morning when I wake up - fortunately - and gives me a fairly good
night’s sleep, usually.
It is a good idea that you see a dr. re: pounding of your heart - it
can be so many different things or it could be nothing. Regardless,
it’s a good thing to be reasured if nothing else :o).
Good Luck

Charlie. Clonazepam

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I took two .5 Clon’s last night and the Lexapro. I admit I felt a bit
out of it for awhile but not like an Ambien or something. Very, very
late I took an Am.
I bought some Valerian (sp) today; already have Melatonin.

9 days on lexapro and questions

Monday, October 30th, 2006

Hi everyoneI have been on Lexapro for 9 days. Many of my symptoms are
better, I am no longer lightheadded, cranky and my palpitations are
better (on it for anxiety), anyway, my most troubling symptom, muscle
twitches, is still ther, maybe slightly better..anyway, does this take
a bit more to work, or should I ask about uping my dose now. I really
was hoping to leave my dose at 10mg, since I am having NO side effects,
and dont want to push it…but this is also driving me crazy, so any
suggestions? Should I wait a bit more? should I ask for an increase?
Thanks for an advice in advance

PM tablets/ot

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

One of my doctors seems cautious about Ambien and PM tablets. I got a
refill from her but she doesn’t want it taken that often, and she thinks
benadryl or a generic of it should be used instead of Tylenol. She said
it’s very bad on the liver, even for non-drinkers.

Pounding

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

I take 20mgs of lexapro, but I take it in the a.m. and my anxiety/panic
attacks have gone…one of the side effects, however, with lexapro is
an “increase” of anxiety - perhaps that’s what you’re experiencing…
plus taking it in a.m. might help - I’d talk with your doc about these
side effects as they don’t sound like much fun and he/she may be able
to give you a sleeping med or something else to counteract the heart
pounding. Either way, check it out as you never know…might pass
too. Ask…;o)
Good Luck
p.s. this is the one and only antidepressant/medication I’ve ever
taken and I’ve taken quite a few, that has ever “worked.” Although I
too, had side effects in the beginning, the first benefit I noticed was
no more anxiety/panic…everyone’s different and it took a long time to
get here - I’m so far, very grateful for this drug.

Side effect?

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

I’m on week 2 of Lexapro…only 4th day on 20 mg. I love it…so much
better than the Cymbalta/Wellbutrin cocktail; I can’t even tell you. My
thing is this, when I take the Lexapro my heart feels like it’s pouding
hard. Now I’ve had agoraphobia in the past and plenty of panic attacks
etc so I am very much attuned to it when I feel my heart pounding like
that. I don’t feel anxious(maybe because I have beat the agoraphobia
though and am just not as anxious anymore) but the heart pounding lasts
4 about 4 or 5 hours. It is distracting and keeps me from sleeping. I
take it when I get home at 6 pm or so and by 10 am ready to poop out
but usually have another hour before the pounding calms down enough to
sleep. I’m fine when I get up in the morning.
Has anyone else had this problem and do you think it will pass? I feel
so good otherwise that I sure don’t want to switch if this will go
away…
