Pounding

I take 20mgs of lexapro, but I take it in the a.m. and my anxiety/panic
attacks have gone…one of the side effects, however, with lexapro is
an “increase” of anxiety - perhaps that’s what you’re experiencing…
plus taking it in a.m. might help - I’d talk with your doc about these
side effects as they don’t sound like much fun and he/she may be able
to give you a sleeping med or something else to counteract the heart
pounding. Either way, check it out as you never know…might pass
too. Ask…;o)
Good Luck
p.s. this is the one and only antidepressant/medication I’ve ever
taken and I’ve taken quite a few, that has ever “worked.” Although I
too, had side effects in the beginning, the first benefit I noticed was
no more anxiety/panic…everyone’s different and it took a long time to
get here - I’m so far, very grateful for this drug.

I have ADHD also and take Metadate, a stimulant, in the am. I really
don’t think mixing the stimulant and Lexapro if it continues to make my
heart pound like that is a great idea at all. I am hoping it will ease
up or go away as time passes. If not, I might consider taking it in the
afternoon at work so that by bedtime I can get some sleep. The trouble
is that it tires me too even though the heart is pounding and I hate to
be that out of energy at work and then at home when I need to get
    dinner etc….
I’m really hoping it will pass or subside some. I have been on a
boatload of different meds too and given the nightmare that I just had
with Cymbalta/Wellbutrin combo, I’d rather be depressed than go through
something like that again!!…For now, I’ll just keep my fingers
    crossed.
