PMDD and lexapro
Hi, I’m new to this group. I was just diagnosed with PMDD, and first
time on any type of antidepressants. I only take 5 mg 4-5 days before
my period. I accidentally started one week early and I was so foggy.
I don’t even know how to explain it. I just know, the feeling scared
me because I have 2 little ones under the age of 2. When I took the
dose at the correct week, I experienced dry mouth which I assume is
normal. Once I stopped taking them, I just got so depressed and grim.
Then I just started eating like I was going into hibernation. Is this
normal, or am I abnormal? Plus, I don’t know how such a low dose for
such a short period helps when on the package insert it states a few
weeks for the drug to take affect. Sorry, to bombard with questions.

Welcom Mabilay. Dry mouth is normal from what I
understand. I think you need to really sit down and
talk to your Dr. about how you feel when you get off
the Lex. as it does affect different people
differently and to different degrees. I hope other
people reply to your email with some more info.
