side effects w/ increased dosage?

I have been on Lexapro for almost 5 wks and doing pretty good. However
I am still suffering from more anxiety than my Dr is comfortable with
so he upped my dosage from 10mg to 20mg.
When I initally started taking 10 mg of Lexapro, I suffered HORRIBLE
side effects: dizziness, nausea, nervousness, etc for about 10 days.
Since I am about to double my dosage to 20mg, am I going to go through
this all over again? I considered gradually increasing my dosage for 2
wks until I am up to 20mg so that I hopefully do not go through the
original side effects again.
Has anyone had any issues w/ side efects from increased dosage or
gradually increasing?

    I never experienced those side effects but I think
    your idea of going up gradually is a good idea. If I’m
    going through a stressfull time I’ll up mine by 1/2
    pill until things get better.
