Anyone in a older age group? My Aunt is going on Lex. at 86….
I wonder what experience people have with age and taking Lexapro.
My Aunt is starting it very slowly, liquid dose, and I want her to
have a good experience. Anyone know of people in their mid 80’s on
Lexapro? Do they do okay?
What is their dose?

Hugs,
My psychiatrists mom was put on Lexapro and I believe she is in her early 90
s.
From what he said, she is doing very well with it. In my personal opinion,
I don’t
think that the elderly worry so much about any side effects like we do…
but that is just my silly assumption. Looking back to when I started Lex
though,
my sides were not bad at all. Only thing that bugs me now is, feeling tired
all
the time and perhaps some weight gain. But I did have both of those issues
beforehand.

hey there hugs. I’m glad yet sorry about you being
tired on LEX. I’m glad because it helps explain why
I’m always tired but yet sorry that you have to go
thru things like that.
