Lexapro for anxiety

I have anxiety and was taking Paxil. It worked great, but I decided
to get off of it when they changed the pregnancy category to D. All
the other SSRIs are C. My doc says I can stay on Paxil, but I decided
to get off. (I’m not currently pregnant, but trying) I was wondering
if anyone is taking Lexapro for anxiety and not depression. How
successful has it been? My doctor wrote for me some Zoloft, but after
4 days of dizziness and vertigo that did not improve, I quit. I do
not have any vertigo or dizziness with Paxil. Also I wanted to try
Lexapro because it is suppose to be easier to get off of (Paxil was
not easy). I need something to help me sleep. Does Lexapro help
with this? Do most people take in the morning or night? Any advice
would be great appreciated. Thanks

I take Lex for both dep.and anx. When I’m going
through a very stressfull time and my anx. level is
high I go to a 1/2 higher until I get through it. Then
I return to my original dose of just one. I take mine
at night. I don’t know if it helps me to sleep because
I seem to be tired a lot anyway.
