sleepless
My doc added Wellbutrin to my list of psych meds I started it on thursday.
I’ve been a pot smoker for the past 12 years and have decided to quit. I’ve been
going cold turkey and I’ve had honest to goodness withdrawal from it. My doc
says it’s the combination of the meds I’m on and the THC that is causing the
withdrawal. I’ve been feeling hung over, have been perspiring very heavily,
anxiety and worsening depression. I’m also unable to sleep. I have gone for a
week without sleep and I’m about out of my mind. I know some of you said you
were also on Wellbutrin. What has been your experience with sleeping and
Wellbutrin ? The patient information sheet I got with the medication said it
can cause sleeplessness. I think the sleeplessness is from the withdrawal. I’m
having a really hard time doing this but I am chosing to do this so I know I
will get thru it. If any one has anything they’d like to share about theiri
experiences with any of the above, I’d appreciate

I quit a list of illegal drugs about 8 years ago, including pot and it

really does have a withdrawal period! Why not give it a while to see if
it eases? I have read that Wellbutrin is one of the more stimulating ADs
so maybe it’s a combo thing?
I won’t pretend to know the answers, I just know that if you hang in
there it WILL get better. That has been my experience. I went from
junkie to clean, to clean parent, to clean parent and soon to be nursing
student in eight years, but I had to stick it out through many
uncomfortable med changes (like now). It will pass, I promise
