All about Lexapro

I have been taking 10 miligrams lexapro and 5 miligrams abilify for the
past four years it works well for Anxiety and Depression.There was some
weight gain in the beginning but I think it has tapered off.I am
waiting to switch to The Abilify shot when it comes out in a few
years,There is already a fast acting Abilify shot but I need the longer
acting shot which they dont have yet.Is anyone taking The Abilify shot
on here.If so if there less side effects with the shot than there is
with The Abilify pills just wondering if there is less weightgain or
more with the shot or none at all.

Insomnia has been a major problem of mine most of my life.
Has anyone else with this problem found Lexapro to help?
Also when do most take their Lexapro? Morning, evening or afternoon?

Let me clarify that last note of mine, I take the Lex and Wellbutrin
once a day and the Buspar twice a day.

I’ve been taking 15 mg. lexapro for about two months, after taking 10
mg. for a month. I’m still having anxiety. My pdoc has given me an Rx
for buspar to take in addition to the lex. Has anyone else had any
experience with this?

What therpy treatment do you use other than medicine? I am wanting to
learn some more ways to control anxiety. I went to a counselor
yesterday she said I was GAD and I was a chronic worried to much that
was mostly my problem. 4 days on Lexapro 5 mg. still doing my best
still nausea, and don’t want to eat.

Hello:
I tried Lexapro once before and had pretty intense diarrhea. I didn’t
stay with it and discontinued after only a couple of days.
I am trying it again now and took my first 5mg. this morning. Within
an hour I had diarrhea again.
I would appreciate any insight from anyone who may know if this should
stop after a while.

I am home again today. I did go to the doctor. He said to take the
medicine. I am moving up to 10mg. I also had blood work done. I have a
meeting tomorrow with a counselor. I do have a question. I go to bed
around 9:00 now I have also had evening naps. I sleep good until the
a.m. hours. When should I take the medicine to help me sleep at night.
I don’t sleep good during the a.m. hours so when its time to get up
for work I am to tired. When does your appetite come back. I am making
myself eat.

Thanks so much you all are my doctor for now. I am feeling much better
as the nausea. I still don’t want to eat. I make myself eat. I can’t
think of anything to eat. Last night I took between 5 and 10mg of
Lexapro. Do you think I should move up to 10mg tonight. I have taken 5
mg for the past two nights. My problem is I have no energy and I am
wanting to sleep. What did all of you do to get energy what about a
vitamin. I really need to go the doctor. My doctor’s wife had surgery
so I am hoping he will work tomorrow. I have even thought of going to
the ER this weekend but who knows what doctor you will get and it
might make things worse. I need to work but during the beginning stage
of taking this medicine did all of you work or take off I teach
special education K-1st grade students so when you show up for work
you really have to be ready to work.

44m on lex 20mg for about 6 months- very difficult to ejaculate-
docotor says its perfromance anxiety- i don’t think so- anyone else
with this problem? does it go away or what? your help appreciated
